WE must consider when choosing How can I know? Comment by Zeneva my was Comment by i just picked up alchemy a few days ago and at i got the quest for Mastery at Thrallmar. Comment by im doing like this!
Comment by What's the proper etiquette for a Transmutation master? If I make a Might transmute for someone and get 5 Mights, I'd keep 4 and give 1 back, since that's what the person was looking for. If someone asked me if I was a Transmutation Master, and offered a certain amount as an "ante" in case I happen to get any bonuses, then I would probably negotiate the ante and give the guy his bonuses if I got any.
For example, I think it would be interesting when selling a Might transmute to say something like "I'm a Transmutation Master, would you like to pay 40g to get any bonuses? However, this would probably leave it open to abuse from people saying they're Transmutation Masters without actually being it and just claiming that they lost. Comment by i got level 68 and went transmutation spec and did a PM xmute for somebody and didnt proc anything i thought i would get 3 on the first time because the comments on this site but its only random.
Comment by I suggest taking up Potion Mastery, then drop it for this one. It is the most cost efficient way to become a Transmute master. Super Healing and Mana Potions drop off nearly everyone mob out there in outland, so saving 5 of each should be no big deal.
If you don't want to wait for them to drop, Dealer Sadaqat sells a limited supply of the two potions. The Ring of Blood questline yields 10 of each. So all you need to do is run Bot and pick up 5 Major Dreamless Potions which go for at most 10g a stack on my server. Total cost: g with respec. Good luck with your procs. It's a little frustrating, seing as you really have to be a AH whore to find the cheap materials and best times to sell.
I've managed to sell most my mights for g over the normal AH prices by simply keeping them in my bank until there's a shortage of them up on AH, and then put them up for overprices.
Was kinda hoping being a transmutation master would help earn me some money, but so far I'm down 3 primal mights and a lot of time. Comment by After lending 2 mights to get Mastery, my first Primal might proc gave me x5.
I'm not one to boast but thats class :P. I know I'll hardly get a proc, but gaining mastery for technicaly nothing is fantastic. Good luck people! Comment by antego Considering the cooldown I think it's a good spec.
Comment by HaveyJoe I think that transmutation mastery would be more appealing if Blizzard gave some more perks besides a pretty slim chance of a multiple transmute. Some ideas: 1. Reduce the cooldown to, say, 12 hours for transmutation masters, while keeping it at hours for alchemists with no mastery or a different mastery, 2.
Increase the proc rate, 3. Keep the cooldown as is, but with transmutation mastery put the different transmutes on separate cooldowns. For example, with transmutation mastery I could transmute a primal might, earthstorm diamond and an arcanite bar all in one day, 4.
Some combination of these. It seems to me that the real issue here is not so much the proc rate as is the fact that doing a single transmute leaves you unable to do ANY transmutes for pretty much a whole day. Comment by The perfect specc if your guild already has a master Elixir maker and a master Potion maker. I didnt do the quest, he just taught me that talent Comment by Ok guys i just turned to transmutation mastery from potions.
I'll try to post here every single transmutation so u guys can have your opinions. Transmutes: 1st: 1 primal might. Comment by So let me get this straight, I make the potions for the potions mastery, unlearn it and just learn the master of transmutation without having to farm my days away for motes? I, too, think it's crap that this specialization has such a long cool down.
What were they thinking? Comment by Evilsithgirl A friend of mine from work claims to have a 4 hour CD on his transmuting. Is this even possible? Comment by Okay, I began counting how much proccs I'd get under months, but I really did not do them every single day, since it takes time, so I ended up wasting the CD with others' mats instead.
I made, I think, over 30 Transmutes. What did I get? Keep in mind. I made all transmutes possible, or those who gives you a little bit money.
Comment by You can easily earn your money back as a Master XMuter: Depending on your server, some primals will be dirt cheap compared to others - usually the cheapest is primal earth - you will want to get the recipe from Sporeggar Revered rep xmute earth to water. So, you can easily make 16g a day. And if you get a proc - then you get 20g bonus. I have found that making potions is not a way to riches, people dont seem to realize that you can often sell the mats for more than what you will make by selling the potions.
Do the math sometime - you will be surprised to see people out there unloading potions for far less than what it costs to make vial cost, materials cost, auction cost, time spent herbing.
Comment by when the new patch 2. Comment by As of 2. This is likely contributing to the dearth of procs you've observed, and I'd like to offer my apologies for any consternation that has arisen as a result of the discrepancy. I'm happy to report that this matter should be resolved in a future patch, but your continued patience in the interim is appreciated. Comment by If you want to drop the master of transmutation you dont have to unlearn the whole alchemy. Talk to Zarevhi at The Stormpike in Neatherstorm.
Its cost g. Comment by been transmute spec for over 2 months, 0 procs i've been doing all earthstorm diamond transmutes so i'd make money anyway, but having no procs leads me to believe that it won't proc off it Comment by Kargha WarlordWombat After patch 2.
Description My knowledge of alchemy is vast. It is, however, general in nature. If you wish to specialize, you will have to find others who have narrower fields of study. It obviously never made it live but was datamined on the Patch 4. On the 4. It is now a Potion Master quest requiring you to give some Cataclysm-level potions to any Alchemy trainer in a capital city. Ive done the Transmute every day, and out of the 65 transmute s ive had 3x procs where i got 1x extra each time.
Education It works like this. BUT additional item can also proc additional item, and so on, up to total of 4 additional items.
In other words with xmute master y you can create items instead of 1. Education In effect this also means that it is cheaper to learn potion master and pay the g to unlearn it and get transmute master than it is to do the transmute master quest 4x primal might. You will keep all your recipes as there are no specialization related recipes for ….
Education How it feels being Transmute Master. Posted by 19 days ago. How it feels being Transmute Master. I really hope you guys didnt do the quest for xmutation master. Patch 3. Post away! Log in , it's free! An alternative version of this wiki is now operational and ready for use. WoWWiki Explore. WoW info. Gathering Production Secondary. Allied races. Useful macros What are addons? Comment by You no longer have to bring truegold to complete this quest. It's 4x Living Steel now.
Lastly, as I've seen several questions of this nature, the Living Steel is consumed when you complete the quest. Comment by HordeSkorp I would suggest completing this quest as soon as possible in MoP as although Living Steel prices are still very high its more beneficial in the long run as my first day as a Transmutation master it proced and i received 5 Living Steel bars making up for the loss to begin with :.
Just took 4 of them out of our guild bank. The quest wasn't marked as completed in my quest log, but I still was able to turn it in. Stupid weird. On another toon I picked it up in Orgrimmar from the trainer there and turned it in at the same place, I haven't tried in new Dalaran since my toons weren't that high lvl yet.
Good luck, hope this helps someone. Comment by spleen Has anyone figured out the requirements to start this quest after the changes to professions with 8. Comment by Petowner With 8. I tried a few things trying to get this quest to pop up.
The thing that finally made this quest pop up was reaching skill in Vanilla Alchemy.
